| Can you suggest a worthwhile Singapore tour good for three days, please... We will be staying at Holland Drive Block 21 and would want our first day tour just within this area.. We can have a tour farther than the place we stay on the second and third days.. Please also include some suggestions of attractions that are suitable to our age group. We are in our early fifties... |
Hi Maggie
Here's a suggested Singapore tour itinerary:
DAY 1: HOLLAND VILLAGE SHOPS & CAFES
Near where you are staying is Holland Village, a charming suburban centre.
Drop by Holland Road Shopping Centre, which houses some interesting shops ladies are sure to like: clothes, shoes, art collections, and interesting home decor items.
There are also many nice cafes and restaurants to chill out here. If you want a bit of exertion, the Buona Vista Swimming Complex is also nearby - good for a early morning or late evening swim at a very affordable entrance fee.
DAY 2: BOTANIC GARDENS, ORCHARD ROAD & MUSEUMS
Early in the morning, take a short bus ride to the Singapore Botanic Gardens.
(Bus No. 7 from Holland Road towards Napier Road)
It's a nice place to take leisurely stroll. Most of all, do not miss the National Orchid Garden, located within the Gardens.
In the late morning, take another bus down to Orchard Road. Worth your time here: Tanglin Shopping Centre, ION Orchard and Far East Plaza.
Spend the rest of the day here. Or leave enough time for 2 very interesting museums farther down the road (on Bras Basah Road):
i) Singapore National Museum
ii) Singapore Art Museum
You could take the MRT from any station on Orchard Road to Dhoby Ghaut Station and walk to these museums.
DAY 3: SINGAPORE RIVER CRUISE, SINGAPORE ZOO & NIGHT SAFARI
Take a taxi to one of the jetties on the River for a Singapore River Cruise. If you fancy the place, linger around and see the sights up close on the Singapore River.
Otherwise, take a taxi to the Singapore Zoo. In the evening around 6-7pm, hop over next door for dinner and a wonderful evening with the nocturnal animals of Singapore Night Safari.
Zoo and Night Safari Tip:
Buy the 2-in-1 Park Hopper Ticket for some discount on the total entrance fees for the Zoo and Night Safari.
Have an enjoyable Singapore tour.
