• Taxi to Singapore Botanic Gardens. Ask the driver to take you to the Cluny Road entrance (Visitors' Centre).

• Arrive at Singapore Botanic Gardens. Grab hold of a map of the Gardens.
  
  
• Take a leisurely walk around the Central Core - visiting the Evolution Garden, Ginger Garden and finally the National Orchid Garden.

• The National Orchid Garden opens at 8.30am.
  
  
  • It has over 1000 species and over 2000 hybrids. One of the best orchid gardens in the world. Recommended!

Singapore Botanic Gardens to Suntec City Mall

11am - 12 noon

• By bus:
  • Exit through Tanglin Gate and get onto Napier Road.
  • Take Bus No. 106 to Suntec City Convention Centre.
  • Enter the Convention Centre, turn right towards Tower 5 where the DuckTours counter is.
    
    
• By taxi:
  • Take a taxi from the the Botanic Gardens' Visitors' Centre to Suntec City Tower 5.
    
    
    

Afternoon

Ducktour: City Sights on an Amphibious Vehicle

12 noon - 1pm

DuckTour's amphibious vehicle.

Shopping at Suntec City, Citylink Mall and Raffles City

1pm - 3.30pm

• Shop at Suntec City, Citylink Mall and ending at Raffles City Shopping Centre.
  
  
• Take the pedestrian bridge from Suntec City Convention Centre to One Raffles Link. There, descend to the underground Citylink Mall, which links to Raffles City Shopping Centre.
  
  

High Tea at Equinox Restaurant

3.30pm - 5pm

Go to the lobby of Swissotel the Stamford Hotel (in the same building as Raffles City Shopping Centre). Take the lift to Level 70. Enjoy the High Tea Buffet at Equinox Restaurant. Enjoy panoramic views of the city skyline from 226m up. Another highlight of this Singapore tour. Recommended!

Equinox Restaurant to Singapore Night Safari

5pm - 7pm

• Journey from Raffles City to Singapore Night Safari.
  
  
• By MRT + Bus:
  • Leave by 5.30pm. Allow 1.5 hours travel time.
  • MRT from City Hall Station to Ang Mo Kio Station.
    Then Bus No. 138 from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange to Singapore Night Safari.
    
    
• By Taxi:
  • Join the taxi queue at Raffles City Shopping City.
  • Leave by 6pm. Allow 45 minutes travel time.

7pm - 11pm

Tips for This Singapore Tour

For Senior Citizens

1. It is possible to do less walking on this Singapore tour:
   
   
   • Upon arrival at the Botanic Gardens, go straight to the National Orchid Garden and ignore the rest. The National Orchid Garden is probably the most interesting feature of the Gardens.
     
     
   • At the Night Safari, take the tram round the park (additional cost). Get down at the East Lodge to see the animal exhibits there, which are easily reached by walking.

For Families with Young Children

2. Is there a better way to occupy your children at the Botanic Gardens? Yes, take them to the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. There are lots of play areas. The kids will have a blast.
   
   To reach Jacob Ballas, enter the Gardens from Bukit Timah Road. Tell the taxi driver to turn on Kheam Hock Road, up the NUS Bukit Timah Campus. Jacob Ballas is right up there.
